VIOLATION

VIOLATION started as a band between friends Tristan, Nick, Paul and Matt at the age of 15 in 2005. The band played constantly but with no connections to anything stayed in the garage for months. Our first show was with Ashtray at a venue in Sonoma. After a couple shows Matt decided to leave the band and our friend Mike joined the band. After Mike joined we started making connections and started playing locally and in the bay area for the next couple years. After playing anywhere possible in the bay area Violation decided to start touring in the Winter of 2007 into 2008. Later in 2008 we begun recording our first full length which is where songs like "Empty" and "I Own the World" are from. For the next year we made various different tour demo's with songs off what would become our full length. COULDN'T AFFORD TO PUT IT OUT! We continued touring for weeks throughout 09 taking us through Oregon, Washington, Arizona and Nevada. After a tour of the northwest in 09' Paul decided to leave the band. After a month of playing shows with Hunter filling in on drums, Ben took on the duties of becoming our new drummer. 2010 Saw Violation actually getting to release our first album, in support of the new album we teamed up with local band Decent Criminal and toured for 2 months taking us across country to florida and up north once again to washington. In January of 2011 Violation hit the road with M Section tearing up the northwest once again. This was by far our most successful tour and work had started to pay off according to the response of shows. Violation came back off tour and has always got busy with playing more local shows. In March of 2011 Violation hit the road for a weekend heading to Socal and Las Vegas. In May of 2011 Nick decided to leave the band. After a month or so the remaining members of Violation decided to keep going regardless of losing Nick. With a new line up came new songs and a noticably different style. Recently we have recorded new songs that will become our 2nd full length. We will be touring with other Santa Rosa natives Slandyr in October on 11' and will have an E.P. out for the tour. Including 5 new songs. Enjoy!
