One of LA's most highly respected and admired Female DJ's, DJ Vida V has proven in a male dominated field her skill, talent and the true definition of being a turntablist. While in high school, she was stunned when she saw her first female DJ perform live at a Rave, renowned DJ Irene, at that very moment, she knew with her passion for music, drive and determination nothing could stop her from pursuing her dream. DJ Vida V grew up in a small town off the Coast of California where mainstream Radio, Clubs and DJ's were non existent; there wasn't much opportunity for her to learn the craft nor was there a thriving music scene. That's when she decided to pack her bags and head to the city of dreams straight out of High School. Quickly she submerged herself in LA's music scene by meeting local DJ's and building relationships with new up n coming artists. So anxious to learn she attended Scratch Academy LA founded by Jam Master Jay, where she was taught the fundamentals of DJ'ing by DJ Hapa. She began to practice immensely and continued to build her vinyl collection. Her skill came with ease like a second nature. She continues to travel the west coast taking the club scene to the next level with her distinctive style, in addition touring, opening up for names such as Pitbull, Baby Bash, Frankie J, E-40, David Banner, Mack 10, FarEast Movement, a few off a long roster. DJ Vida V is a woman of many talents, a gifted writer plus a producer at LA's #1 Hit Music Station 102.7 KIIS FM. You can also catch her live in the mix every Friday and Saturday Night on U92.7 in Palm Springs.
