Victim Effect Making The Anthem - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 16, 2009
DESCRIPTION:
Watch the high quality version because the "normal quality" looks heinous.

Directed by Joshua Ligairi, this micro-documentary gives a behind-the-scenes look at the Victim Effect writing process and features both the recording of The Anthem at Annex Recording Studios in Sandy, Utah as well as the first live performance of that song at the 2007 X96 Big Ass Show in Salt Lake City, Utah.

This video is the one to watch to see Victim Effect at the height of their career. An underground sensation, the now defunct project by Brando and Dawn Bowthorpe was called the "hottest unsigned band in the country" by Ernie Ball the year they parted ways.

Also at the BASH that year were Social Distortion, Jimmy Eat World, and the best known Utah-based band, The Used, just to name a few. Check out our live video for "Cemetery Girls" by Schoolyard Heroes also shot at BASH 2007. To see full coverage of BASH 2007 go to the SLCRandom YouTube Channel. We met these guys while filming at the show and besides being really cool, they did a great job covering the event.

Special thanks to the members of Victim Effect, Annex Recording Studios, and everyone at X96.
