Vic was born in El Salvador and grew up in West New York, New Jersey (15 minutes outside NYC, NY). He first gained appreciation for DJ mixing when he was about 12. "I would stay up late with my headphones on taping The Saturday Night Dance Parties (House Music) that would air on "Hot 103" (now Hot 97)", he recalls. He loved staying up late just to hear some good DJ mixing. His father was the owner and manager of a local Latin band so he started tagging along with him to the clubs when he was 14. He would help carry equipment at that point but during the breaks he got the opportunity to help his uncle spin vinyl on some plastic gemini's. He finally got to DJ on his own at the age of 16… when he took over for his uncle. "I saved up some money from those gigs and got me some Technics!", he remembers. It took off from there. He started playing around the NY-Tri-State area. He was practicing for hours back then. At the age of 18, he met a then aspiring producer Conrado Martinez. Vic was really able to relate to Conrado since he loved music as much as he did. He credit Conrado to introducing him to music production. Conrad and Vic worked on a few House, Reggae, and Hip-Hop projects. They also teamed up with David Despaigne and Laz Torrez. They had some good times spinning and making some music. During his DJ/music production career, Vic has gotten the opportunity to play at many venues in various states. New Jersey is where he grew up but he has also lived in California, DC, Salt Lake City, Dallas, and now in Austin, Texas. He love playing all types of urban/club music… House, Reggaeton, Hip-Hop, Bachata, Salsa, Merengue… basically most of the music you can jam to in the club!
