Influenced by the grit and gravel of Lucinda Williams and the vocal stylings of Shawn Colvin, Vicky has indeed shaped her own brand of Americana music.
Her most recent album, LONG RIDE (2009), was produced at The Library Studio in Minneapolis by Matthew Patrick (Greycoats) with the help of her band, Steve Goold, Aaron Fabbrini and Tyler Burkum (Mat Kearney.)
Emerson, who grew up on a farm in rural Wisconsin, now lives in New York City and is a regular performer at the Living Room in Manhattan when she is not on the road. Vicky tours nationally with over 250 dates a year and is proud of her DIY accomplishments which include 3 full-length vocal albums plus three piano solo albums. Vicky's enthusiastic fan base extendes from coast to coast and through cd sales and touring income she continues to generate enough revenue to sustain her career as a full-time touring artist.
