Via Satellite

Via Satellite originally started as the band Death By Nostalgia in 1998. The original members include Seth Winters on guitar, Matt Emenheiser on drums, Tyler Smith on Bass, and Frank Burkett on vocals. A self-produced, self-titled album was released in 2001. Later that year, Bassist Tyler Smith left the band to explore other projects. After Tyler left, the band started working on new material in their practice room for a few months while Frank learned to play the bass. The band played shows as a trio for short time until they recruited Andrea Shearer on second guitar. Early in 2003, Ass Card Records in Dortmund, Germany offered to press the first Via Satellite album and put them in touch with Gate to Hell booking agency, who set up a one-month European tour. "Aux Ed" was released in December of 2003. In February 2005, bassist/vocalist Frank Burkett left the band and was replaced with Kristin Beers. The band is currently recording their new record.
