DJ Versus (moniker of Daniel Genchev) started his djing career at the tender age of 14 playing commercial music at discos and clubs in his home town. His obsession to Hi-Fi equipment and appreciation for the quality sound were the main reasons that led to a change in his musical taste. Versus became addicted to the electronic music which fascinated him with its quality pumped-up sound, its energy and the messages it carries. What followed was a number of parties promoted by him, gigs around the whole country and abroad. After he met DJ Smooke their friendship, similar ideas and musical tastes led to the creation of their own label and promoting company called "HITEX Promotions". They soon gained momentum and became one of the leading promotion crews in Bulgaria. Fans associate them with excellent parties marked by the sound that make the people dance.Known for his high-quality sets he became a resident of several clubs around Bulgaria [Stereo / Blagoevgrad, Aliens / Sofia, Fashion / Nova Zagora, City / Nova Zagora] and achieved a residence of the most popular broadcast for house music in Bulgaria - 'MasterMix' at radio NRJ / Bulgaria. He had gigs in some of the most famous clubs and events in Bulgaria and abroad like Plazma / Plovdiv, Escape / Sofia, Comics / Varna, Xtravaganzza / Varna, Arrodance / Varna, Sinners / Sofia, Spartacus / Sofia, Cosmopolitan / Stara Zagora, Phobia / Stara Zagora, LifeHouse / Sofia, Scream / Sofia, Underground Vol.2 / Blagoevgrad, Da House of Underground / Blagoevgrad, Excess / Bourgas, Alibi / Bourgas, EXIT08 / Serbia - Novi Sad, Tocak / Serbia - Novi Sad, Fix Industry / Thessaloniki - Greece, Mylos / Thessaloniki - Greece, Belvue / Skopie - Macedonia, Rascekor / Bitola - Macedonia, Express Cafe / Kavadarci - Macedonia. His sets are a peak time mixture of progressive, electronica, minimal and electro house following the latest world music tendencies. His sound is always groovy and uplifting, driving the crowd to the dancefloor, urges it on restless dancing and creates a perfect party mood. His mixes are marked by energetic mixing style, dancy BPM, frequent track changes and maintaining high streaming energy which he supports by experimenting frequently with acapellas, additional sounds and scratches. .Since May 2007 Versus is a resident of "Alpha Club" broadcast on Alpha Radio FM - one show that represents the club sound of Bulgaria and abroad, separately he was invited as main manager of the "coming soon" label of Alpha Radio - Alpha Records.Some time later, Versus became part of DSD Entertainment - Agency, which he created with his two partners. DSD Entertainment is a creative media which main activities are PR, Graphical and Industrial Design, All kinds of advertisement and not at last place - DJ Bookings and all around that.In July 2008 DJ Versus was confirmed to play at one of the biggest festivals in Europe called "EXIT" - one sensation that is happening every year in Novi Sad, Serbia. There he performed on the Cocta Stage together with big names in the bussines.In April 2009, after years of excellent parties in Plazma Club [The main house music venue in Plovdiv and one of the best clubs in Bulgaria], Versus achieved his residency there. You may see him behind the Plazma decks every month warming up and down the international DJ guests or just making solid resident nights.Versus is one of the most important names in the Bulgarian clubbing bussines and
