BIOGRAPHY:
Having already sold multiplatinum in Spain, Veronica Romeo has broadened her horizons and is now looking forward to seduce the American market with her Spanish enchantment.
Veronica believes that uplifting inspirational experiences give you the key to create great songs. The ability to reflect love, freedom, craziness, sadness, joys, all your senses and emotions in your lyrics and music, allows making a perfect song for each moment. That’s a good way to connect with people. The real goal, as a songwriter and singer, is not having just one hit wonder but sharing always what you’ve got inside and letting people know you by who you are and for what you have to say. That’s what matters most. And if you make someone else's life a little happier and get recognition while doing that… What else could you ask for? That’s the magic of music.
This singer/songwriter/actress is renowned by her special talent, her God-given voice and her philanthropic heart. She is not the kind of girl who rest on her laurels. In 2001 she appeared for the first time on a TV show, since then she is been getting fans worldwide and has achieved multi-platinum sales and multiple awards.
To Veronica the relationship with her fans is tremendously important: “They keep me going, they inspire me,” she says. “I do all I can to keep in close touch with the fans who support my music, whether it be via my shows or through the Internet. The energy I get from them is extraordinary”.
In 2005 she moved to London, where she studied drama and took dancing lessons. She also improved her songwriting skills and wrote her third album “Serotonina”, which was released in the fall of 2006 under her own record label VK 48 Music.
In 2007 she released her single “Conectado a m”. It was certified Platinum and became the most digitally downloaded song in the history of MSN music website.
She holded the Golden Minute of the Spanish television, with more than 15 millions viewers, who tuned in to watch her performance.
Vernica’s philanthropic heart is well known. She supports several social causes and even has her own charity called ‘Lluvia’.
In the last two years she has been working in new songs. She deeply involves herself in every single aspect of the creation process, from singing all her backing vocals to overseeing the treatment of the instruments, and their recording until the final mix.
In 2008 she moved to Miami, there she worked with Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum selling producer Rodolfo Castillo (Santana, Bacilos, Chayanne, Julio Iglesias), 4-Time Grammy Award-winning, Multi-platinum selling producer Iker Gastaminza (Shakira, Chayanne, Ricky Martin, Bacilo) and musicians like Emmy and Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum Dan Warner (Madonna, Rihanna, Timbaland, Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake, Shakira, Mika), Grammy Award-winning Lee Levin (Shakira, Barbra Streisand, P!nk, Julio Iglesias). She co-wrote and collaborated with Grammy Award-nominee Elsten Torres (Luis Fonsi, Julio Iglesias Jr), Grammy Award-nominee Jim Camacho (John Legend, Alicia Keys), Grammy Award-nominee John M. Falcone (Shakira, Gloria Estefan) and multi-platinum selling Nina Ossof (Daughtry, High School Musical). Vernica is member of ASCAP and she’s been prenominated in the 10th Latin Grammy Awards and in the 52rd Grammy Awards. Vernica is also a voting member of the NARAS and LARAS. These organizations present the recording industry's most prestigious awards, the Grammy and the Latin Grammy respectively.
Vernica says that “Being surrounded by talented and generous people gives you the confidence to explore your mind and share your ideas without problems.”
In January 2010 she moved to L.A where she does some demos and co-write a song with Grammy Award-winning Jon Paterno. She also started co writing with Grammy Award-nominee and multiplatinum selling Greg Wells (Mika, Katy Perry). Grammy Award-winning Ed Cherney (Rolling Stones) introduced Veronica to C.J Vanston (Prince, Nsync, Barbra Streisand, Ringo Star, Joe Cocker, Tina Turner) in The Village Studios. C.J Vanston and Phil Collen (Def Leppard) started collaboration with her in new songs with a new sound that will move Vernica to the next level. Another amazing artist like Steve Lukather is working in that songs.
