Bentley

The Ancient Norse Sagas tell tales of mighty warriors, gods and savage beasts. Now nearly two thousand years after the first Vikings set foot on North America, they have landed once again, and Hip-Hop won’t be the same. Bentley a.k.a. Verbal Kraze picked up his first axe (guitar) at age 9 and soon moved on to study a vast array of weapons to add to his arsenal (bass guitar, drums and keyboards). Master of many styles from Hip-Hop to Rock, Alternative, Punk, Ragga and Ska, his music is a reflection of his diverse background. Bentley has played in a number of local Sacramento bands from the punk/ska group IllEffect to hip-hop/rock group Hung, and has shared the bill with a diverse array of acts from Papa Roach to Snoop Dogg. Bentley began rapping and producing hip-hop tracks in 1995. A few years later he formed the crossover hip-hop group Verbal Lock with Aman Rah aka Wyzdom and Randel aka R-Skee. Their self-titled debut album was produced and recorded almost entirely by Bentley at his home studio in Davis. His tracks take hip-hop into the new age, blending musical styles from a diverse background, with both live and synthesized elements. Bentley has also taken a number of classes in studio recording, and is a very competent engineer. In addition, Kraze is currently Co-CEO and Vice President of one of the Most Explosive Independent Record Labels On the West Cost, Cavern-Men Entertainment. Kraze can be heard on the highly anticipated SAC HATES HIP HOP album in stores now. Also check out appearances on the Sac Loves Hip Hop and Real Sac Kingz mixtapes.
