It's a true story that Video Killed the Radio Star because music should not be about image. Music should be about the music! I learned the hard way. The new Vanilla Ice is exactly that; no image, no polished made up gimmicks created by record companies. I will never be a puppet for the industry again. From this point on I will be myself and keep it real. I am not running from anything or trying to hide. I want people to know that I face my adversaries. Don't get me wrong, though I love Ice Ice Baby, the Ninja Rap and Stop That Train , but it almost killed me. I caught myself hating myself, there was no stopping it. I was on a path of self destruction. Then I did "Surreal Life" with Tammy Fay, she had a way a saying little phrases that just cut through all the crap and make so much sense. She told me "You are who you are because of who you were" so get over it and let it make you stronger and better. It did! She could never have been so right. Now I love it all, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the baggy pants, and the hair do's. LOL! Good times and good memories! Yesterday is history and tomorrow is a mystery, those are the words that I live by. Yesterday has already happened, you can't go back and change it, but you can learn from it, tomorrow hasn't happened yet so why worry about it? Don't stress on it. It will get you no where, the war, the economy, mother nature, the only guarantee you have is here and now, so make the best of it, and smile more, enjoy each day, and when you die, game over!

The media has a way of glamorizing what it's like to be a celebrity, and that's where people get the illusion, but the reality of it is much different. I'm not speaking from just my own experiences. Take a look at the track record, it speaks for itself. Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Elvis, Kurt Cobain, and lately Britney Spears shaves her head. These celebrities had a hard time dealing with the reality of being famous. Many used drugs to escape from reality just as I did. It was the only way to find peace and happiness. The thing was, no matter how high you get, you still had to come back reality and face it all again. That's when the depression sets in. That's when you hit rock bottom and you either die from it or learn from it. I used to think that money would bring me happiness because I thought of all the material things that I could buy. After experiencing what it's like to be rich, I realized that you are not born with it and you also can't take it with you when you die. What's life all about? Family and Friends!

Now I have a new outlook on life and music. The music is for myself, my diary, my experiences, and my Ninjas! After all the dust settled, I sit back and say Wow! Who would have ever thought this crazy wild boy, would sell over 48 million records. The records are still selling. This year I sold another 3 million and landed another #1 single and #1 record in the UK.

I am releasing a new record named "WTF" meaning Wisdom, Tenacity, Focus, or What The Fun! Lol! So anyway make sure you creep on it, don't sleep on it! You can download some of the songs on Vanillaice.com free, and you can catch me in concert all around the world, also tune into twitter to get updates daily. Stay tuned because the best is yet to come . Whoop Whoop !
