Ain't no band, sweethearts, just little ol' me.Like so many other musicians, got started in highschool, joining a band! Bein' only 17 was a toughie, cuz I had to sit onstage or go outside during the breaks. Not too many female influences back then, eitherGrace Slick, Chaka Khan and of corse Janis. Went looking one day for female vocal material and by chance stumbled upon a lady named Bonnie Raitt. Well, hell, that did it! From that point on, no matter what other material I sang, there would always be some blues thrown in to please myself. Ain't that what true music in your heart is really about? If you ain't lovin what you're doin', it ain't gonna be real. Anyways, did the top 40, dance club thing for years and years.Motels, Pretenders, Tina Turner,Madonna(!).and being a perfectionist, always tried to sound 'just like the record'.big mistake! Who the hell wants to be someone else's clone??? Ah, but young and stupid is a temporary thing, thank God! Played cool gigs in the 70's, like The Whiskey, The Troubador, etc.Got married (still am, same man) and my music took a back seat to love.Eventually, at my husband's prodding, however, I got back into the music thing. That is, until I got pregnant! Well, needless to say, motherhood is a full-time gig, but eventually, when my son was 2, I was asked to join a blues band.couldn't resist.made it work. Got to pick all my own material too! Always preferred puting my own bands together.like to hand pick who I work with and I'm a damn good judge of who's gonna work out, too. Anyway, 2 or 3 bands later, it was time for another baby. Well, hell, you guys got it lucky, now don't ya!

Mothers end up bein' torn between what they want to do and what they need to do.Bottom line, here.family won out over career, but the music is still not only just beneath the skin, but down to the soul and I hope that's what you hear when you give a listen .

Been writing songs for just as long, close to 35 years now, but never recorded any of them. I've always held a secret pride in my writing ability, but to be honest, have always been afraid to share.Getting over that quandry as I age, tho, and would love to record some of my favorite stuff in the near future.have trouble kickin' myself in the ass sometimes, tho! I never really learned to play (my voice is my instrument), so it's always been hard for me to put what's in my head out there.never found one special person to work on my stuff with. Us Libras need a partner in business, as well as love, and unfortunately I didn't marry a musician. But life's still been sweet an I ain't dead yet, so stay tuned.
