Valsgarde

Valsgarde was formed in 2003 by brothers Shawn (Drums) and Corey Smith (Guitars). The band shortly there after recruited Brian Ward (Vocals), Derek Hicks (Guitars) and J. Coleman (Bass) to round out their line up. After many hours of rehearsal the band played live shows with national acts such as Vader, God Dethroned, The Absence, Candlemass, Finntroll, Dagon and many more.



In 2008 the band decided to record a proper 3-song demo at Lord T6 studio. Shawn Smith switched to vocals and David Sikora (Obsidian Throne/Ophian/Kriegsgrav) was recruited for the vacant drums slot. Unfortunately during this recording session the band went on a temporary Hiatus. Tracks were recorded for the demo but never released…until now…
Valsgarde has returned for good from its brief slumber to conquer all and leave no stone unturned. The current line up is J. Coleman (Guitars/Vocals), David Sikora (Drums/Bass) and Corey Smith (Guitars). A new 2-song demo was recorded June 2011 and Valsgarde will be entering the studio to complete their long awaited full length, "ELD". Only ashes shall remain…
