Urban Poizon évolue dans un hip-hop alternatif, Tomawok (chanteur des Zetlaskars) et Mister Flow (ex. chanteur des Carc[H]arias) qui sont à l'origine du projet ont fondé le groupe en 2005. Ils ont réussi à séduire un large public en développant un univers à la fois ragga, hip-hop et électro.
