Uplifter is a part of Capleton's David House crew.

Jamaican singer, Clinton Robinson, popularly known as Uplifter, born on May 19. 1955 in the parish of St. Mary. Started singing at a tender age in school and church programs.



During his early years, Uplifter was also a singer on the home town sound Atlantic One.



Uplifter spend most of the 70"s in the hills of Higate, St. Mary, making music and taking care of his family. Uplifter's recording career began in 1977 at the age of 19 at the famous Channel One Recording Studio, where he recorded the song entitled "Racheal Situation". Produced by the group Liberaters.



During this era, Uplifter sighted Rastafari, hailing the King of Kings from then until this time.



In 2000, he did a combination with the "fireman" Capleton. This song "Africa Bound" was played in dances and also on the radio stations all over the island.

He performed on Sting, St. Mary Mi Come From, and Portland Fest.



During 2003 he performed in Germany, Holland and France with Capleton and the David House Crew. In that same year Uplifter also performed in New York.



In 2004 Uplifter went on a Caribbean tour which included Barbados, St. Martine, The Bahamas, St. Lucia and Surinam. This singer from the David House crew is determined to keep "the fire blazing".



In 2007 Uplifter joined forces with singer Richie Roots and the Black Mind family, with the blessings of the "fireman" Capleton to record his first album.



Uplifter give thanks for life, for his mercy endureth forever more.
