"It started as a piss take". 4 years ago in a Sydney Australia. It was there in dec of 2003, at the death of the punk movement, that the Unemployed Super Villains were born. Taking their love of comic books and wrestling- singer Hawk Hogan and bassist Funobashi set out to make an impression. They wound up making Enemies out of almost every band they played with and proving that punk is not only not dead, its not serious. Lineup changes followed and by early 2004, the band coalesced around co-founders, Hawk Hogan and Funobashi along with guitarist Splodgezilla (some guy hawk pushed in a pool) and the Boobie Taxman (the biggest back stabber turncoat ever). By the end of 2004 the line up changed for the better with Gonads Armageddon joining the band in the place of the Boobie Taxman, They where stronger and better looking then ever.Well not really.

In 2006, Splodgezilla got a job and was last seen growing a used carman ponytail.

Gonads came down with a sudden case of Giant cocksmoker and bailed out on the band, only then trying to come back, kinda like a shit house jobber making a hot tag that goes cold. Unsure of what to do

With the weakest links gone, USV pushed onward in to 2006, putting out a galaxy wide search for the next members to come under the USV wing of super villainy!!

The call was answered Within minutes, and the try outs began. 30 men, 2 women, 5 cone breaks and a small crust punk later The toughest left standing was El Diablo Fornica and Dos pantera, they also had a bag of weed so Hawk said fuck it, they’ll do.

Throughout the span of their career, the Unemployed Super Villains audience has developed into a small cult of violence loving misfits, lovingly dubbed "Punkamaniacs" (the term for die hard U.S.V fans)

From its inception, the music was untalented punk rock, random and out of tune. What further separated the band from their peers of the punk scene was their fixation with wrestling. It was from that inspiration that they donned wrestling masks (or hoods) and have been known to wrestle on stage most of the time involving tables, chairs and anything not nailed down!

Musically they have released two eps and one full length cd. Demostation, demostation 2 and the album "I heard you wanted to fight me" named after a run in with the Neanderthal guitarist from some band.

One thing the Unemployed Super Villains pride themselves on, is having fun as well as having the most violent stage show in the country, which has gotten them banned from many venues. Yet The Villains push on building a good following in Melbourne and touring around the world.

One thing is certain, The Unemployed Super Villains are here to stay everyday is a pay per view !!!
