The music is mainly inspired by the thrashy hardcore-punk scene of the 80's. Fast and furious! The lyrics are in danish, and contains themes such as mental incapacity/insanity, daily thoughts, drunkness and other stuff like that.

Under Al Kritik deals in less melodic hardcore than, let's say Hjertestop, with a more punkmetal vibe to their sound mixed with sudden breaks. "Robot" totally takes me back to those S.O.D. amphetamines/schnapps crossover days of the mid-80s.minus the goofy humor. I especially love the teeny weeny lowbudet Exodus-like guitar solo. Amazing stuff! The more mid-tempo "Skygger" also got a crossover punkmetal vibe. The A side ("Insomnia", "Konflikten") is more straight hardcore thrash which made me think of Rotter!, an unterrated Aarhus HC band.or maybe Christ On Parade.



The excellent cover art is by Patrick (Selvhenter) who also did the latest Cola Freaks 7". I can't believe I haven't seen this ripping Odense outfit yet, play Copenhagen soon, alright? Shit, the Danish hardcore punk scene is on fuckin' fire at the moment, it's almost unnatural!
