Uncooked Children

*** The Rock Academy hall.or "basement" if it suits the description better, was completely outfitted with a pro-PA system last night in anticipation of the much-missed, oft misaligned, Uncooked Children.

In past months, rumors abounded that the band was a ticking timebomb and just waiting to implode upon itself, but the man they call Stone was actually a rock and within the span of a short 10 weeks (approx.), Stone and Co. was back in business, not just stronger, but 10 times better. With the addition of Josh Warren on drums and Colin Olsen on bass, The Chilluns had a fuller, yet much more defined sound. By removing some of the percussion/rythym chores from Stone's massive hardware store of keyboard effects and a "cleaning-up" of vocalist Jonathan Roth's vocal fx, Uncooked well, cooked with a stronger beat and a less-compressed depth-of-sound which left me, as well as over 100 screaming UC fans duly impressed.



The introduction of a new song to their workload was just the icing on the cake - a cake that's etched with "Happy Rebirth UC!"
