Uncle Black formed around the duo of Les King and Mike Aldridge. They have been recording on Backwater Records, a UK Independent releasing an eclectic mix of folk, country and prog-rock! since 2002
Musically it veers from upbeat , almost pop to darker, more reflective numbers; Losingtoday.com called clock prison sapping, but gem-like a contradiction which in part sums the music up.
the new ep 'the messenger' is released on 30.8.11 on backwater records, and it is the best release to date.
