Unchrist

UNCHRIST is a studio project that began in Houston, TX in 1996. The original line-up was as follows: Luciferous - guitar, bass & vocals; Alcoholocaust - guitar; Lord Drittenbach - drums. The project saw little progress from 1996-2004 because other projects prevented the group from jamming regularly. Lord Drittenbach spent most of his time performing with KATHONIK, while Alcoholocaust founded and still fronts THE DRUNKS. In 2004, however, following the death of Quorthon, Luciferous felt obligated to complete some "unfinished business" and try to get an UNCHRIST recording released. In February 2006, Luciferous recorded 10 songs, two of which had sat stagnate for 10 years, namely ".On Leather Wings" & "Unchrist", both of which were written by Alcoholocaust, who also plays guitar on ".On Leather Wings". Unfortunately, during this time Lord Drittenbach was not able to be present, thanks to a minor disagreement with the Great State of Texas, & Luciferous was forced to commit the ultimate sin of digital percussion. But as of June 2006, Lord Drittenbach has once again become a full-time member of UNCHRIST & will be featured on all future recordings. UNCHRIST's 1st album, ".On Leather Wings", is out now & available from GRAVELESS SLUMBER RECORDS - www.gsr666.com.

UNCHRIST recently recorded 4 new tracks (including a cover of CCR's "Bad Moon Rising") for an upcoming split with Bahimiron. No release date has been set but the split will be available on GRAVELESS SLUMBER RECORDS as will the follow-up to ".On Leather Wings", which will be titled "A Land Without Winter" and will be (in Luciferous' opinion) a much more brutal release & quite possibly the FINAL word from UNCHRIST. But as of yet, nothing is carved in stone.
