Tytanik (Tyson Turner), born & raised in Montbello, Colorado, started writing lyrics at the age of 11, but never took it serious until he was 22. In 9th grade he formed a rap group with childhood friends called Wild-Seed in which they released the album "By Any Means". In December of 2004, while out in Quincy, Ill., Tytanik recorded 50+ songs in 23 days and created 2 mix-tapes "King Of The Ring vol.1" & "The Captain & The Coach", which he released locally in Denver. It wasn’t until 2005 when Tytanik had his daughter that he decided to really focus and take his craft to the next level. He hooked up with friend Vell Vello and formed Record Label "Self-Made Certified". Soon after going from studio to studio trying to find the right engineer, they purchased their own studio equipment and decided to get to work. in December of 2006, Tytanik Released his mix-tape "Therez Nobody Lyke Me" which was mostly produced by Tytanik and the Self-Made compilation mix-tape "Mile-High Sin City" which featured 14 songs by Tytanik. Thru his heavy promotion and marketing on Myspace.com & word of mouth, Tytanik was nominated for the Rookie Of The Year Award at the Denver's Finest Colorado Music Awards, in which he WON!!! All the buzz led up to him recording a joint mix-tape with Innerstate Ike, titled "The Talk Of The Turf" (Hosted & Mixed By Dj. Ktone). They released the mixtape in March of 2007. Then in May of 07, Tytanik released "Calculatorz & Cash Registerz" the mix-tape (Hosted & Mixed By Dj. Ktone) which had features from Innerstate Ike, Nyke Loc, Julox, Get Paid Spade and others. In October of 2007, he put out "Attack Mode" the mix-tape also hosted and mixed by Dj. Ktone (The Turf Dj). In May 2008, a week after the release on his newest cd "Deal Or No Deal" which contained features from Mr. Midas, Jimathez, LG (As Seen On 106 & Park) and others, Tytanik was arrested while "Pushing Cd's" for outstanding warrants. Tytanik went thru rough times in 08' & 09', including more run-ins with the law & being evicted. In late July of 09', Tytanik was arrested in Kansas City, Mo. on a Felony Drug Trafficking charge. After such a delay since his Deal Or No Deal release, Tytanik put out 4 Mix-tapes at the same time in December of 2009, "First 48", "Turf Supremacy", "Talez From Da Hood" & the long-awaited "Hussalaz Dreem" street album (with Shy Sheez). Since then Tytanik has recorded material for mix-tapes with hot new Artist & Producer T.C. Crook (from Da Krew) as well as 5280 Mystic, Axcess & Self-Made Certified artist Yung Tilt. He has done countless collaborations with just about everyone in the Mile-High City, and has performed everywhere and is continuing to do his part in putting Denver, Colorado on the map. Tytanik is also currently workin on his Debut Album "Colorado I.D."
