TYREIKA RENEE’
Extraordinarily talented singer, songwriter, model and actress, Tyreika Renee’ is truly one of today's most gifted and soulful singers. Born in Baltimore, Maryland Tyreika Renee' has been singing since the age of 3. Tyreika Renee’ always had a passion for music with the aspirations of being a successful singer/songwriter.
Tyreika Renee’ began her journey to stardom in 2006 when she attended a Russell Simmons music seminar to educate herself about the music business. During her departure from the seminar, she was approached by a local music producer, and began working with him. She was in the studio everyday from sunrise to sunset.
Because of her strong writing ability and performances, Tyreika Renee' became a household name in Baltimore and was
recognized by various other local artists,
who featured her on their albums. Tyreika's name also became known to many of B-More's clubs. She began performing at "The Five Seasons", a hip-hop club in B-More where local artists showcase their talent. Although it was supposed to be hip-hop night, Sonny Brown, the club promoter, was so impressed with her performance and vocals; he booked her for several shows.
Tyreika also performed with a live band at the Belvedere Hotel and other live performances included; The Turntable Club, “The Stop the Violence Campaign” in Baltimore, performances in D.C, New York, and Virginia.
People who knew her often compared her to Lil' Mo and Mary J. Blige. Some of her most requested songs included: "Radio, "In My Shoes", "Put Your Hands Up", and "No More". She always gets her audience pumped up with her show-stopper, "T-Y-R-E-I-K-A."
Singers such as, Mary J. Blige, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Keyshia Cole and Lil' Mo have inspired her soulful voice and style. Tyreika continues to strive to entertain and give her best when performing.
In December 2007, Tyreika Renee' was voted B-More's best Female R&B Artist at Baltimore's 1st Annual Blammy Awards. In 2008, Tyreika Renee’ released her first album, which sold out in the first week on CD Baby.In September 2009 Tyreika Renee’ secured a spot singing the intro to 92Q Jams Squirrel Wyde’s “Houligan Express” commercial. In April 2010, she completed her first music video for her most requested song “Radio”, which is set to be released this summer. She is shooting her second video for her new single “Phone on Vibrate “, which is also set to be released in the summer 2010. Tyreika states, “I have so much to contribute to the music industry. Music is my life and I have so much to write about. Without my music, there’s no me”.
