TU GENERACION (YOUR GENERATION) is a Venezuelan radio show, that airs from Monday thru Friday (8:00 to 9:00 PM), at HOT 94.1 FM, one of the most important and recognized stations in our country. OUR MOTIVES AND GOALS
We are influenced mostly by our favourite bands, which have been our main motivation to keep the show going. Promoting good music has been always our path and goal.We are in a country where rock is NOT supported in a strong manner (through media or shows), blended with the ironic reality that there is an incredibly big audience craving for it. That’s why we feel a big responsiblity towards our listeners, they DESERVE to have they’re little space. to get to listen to what they want to.mixed with info, news, interviews, new bands, and everything the creativity leads to!!! The show divides in themed days:We have a day for rock and metal CLASSICS (to remember the roots), a day for B-SIDES (one hour of rarities of mixed bands, such as demos, live songs, acoustic presentations, covers, soundtracks, collaborations, etc). Our SPECIAL DAY, one hour dedicated to the same band, their history, discography, curiosities, and of course songs!!! Monday and Wednesday are for requested music and news and message from fans. I am creating this profile at MY SPACE, because the show wants to contact bands (underground, indie and major ones). Trying to link them to the Venezuelan fans by doing phone interviews, promoting their music, having band greetings, or anything you guys can do to help us. People here are tired to see international bands as something they’re never going to watch live, or know nothing personal about. We want our and your supporters to feel close to their favourite music, get to know the bands from they’re own voice, what they stand for, and what’s their message all about. Not only that.also we want to say that here in Venezuela we have an incredibly amount of talented bands that are not noticed by the record labels here.so give them a chance!Thanks for your support.
