True sounds of the revolution were a hardcore punk three-piece from haverfordwest, pembrokeshire. The band formed in january 2006 and ceased activity in late 2007 and featured "Ash" on guitar and vocals, "Owl boy" on bass and backing vocals and "Thom" on drums.

The band played number of shows in wales and england with a range of bands of different genres and were known for their intense live performances, they supported such bands as Picture Frame Seduction, Enter Shikari and Dogzuki. They also developed a loyal fan base all over pembrokeshire and beyond known as 'The Core'.

The bands songs are themed around politics(local and global) and social injustices encouraging activism and protest, the bands main ambition being to reach as wide an audience as possible with these messages. In august of 2006 the band signed to Cultjam Records and released a split album with picture frame seduction in december worldwide.

After the bands demise songwriter Ash formed The Hopeless Abandoned a melodic street punk band and they are currently touring britain after the release of their self titled EP, check www.myspace.com/hopelesspunx
