The tracks above are taken from the album 'due to blow' Trueman are currently recording a new ep/single set for release early next year a bullitin will be sent out.

Due To Blow was produced, recorded and mixed Simon Atkinson.

tRUEMAN started with a load of songs left over from our old band, The Guests. The idea was to try and produce a decent recording - forming a band was the last thing on our minds.

So the task began. But what soon became obvious was that some of the songs were not how we remembered them and not as good.

Then the idea to start writing new songs came about. Getting all these new songs together was where it all seemed to find its place. Enough! So then it was decided that this was going to be a full album.

The recording certainly didn’t come without its problems, what with equipment blowing up, houses falling down and disease - I kid you not!

The idea about a band was to keep it going as The Guests, but we thought that was a band we had beaten to death, taken it as far as we could, only to try and take it even further and when you get there you find you’ve run out of petrol.

There was no way back to the guesthouse. I’m not saying it was a bad place to visit - it had some good times and good memories - but we didn’t want to live there. So over a period of time we remained nameless and just kept the songs coming.

Don’t worry about it, just keep moving and if there’s a problem, shift it. The songs recorded around this time reflected that attitude.

Struggles Glory - If at first you don’t succeed then why try again?

Living in the Funhouse - Self-explanatory.

Anywhere Nice – That one place set firmly in your sights.

Sticking with Number One - This moaning bastard will not let you down!

And besides, it was sounding fucking magic. So one day we were sitting around drinking a cuppa and Trueman walks in and says, ‘Hey lads, do you need a name?’ So be it!

tRUEMAN’s number one favourite subject has been time. Do I have time? Well I don’t really have the time so try to make the time!

Time is a funny thing, time is a peculiar item you see when you’re young and you’re a kid, you’ve got time but you have nothing but time!

Throw away a couple of years here a couple of years there, it doesn’t matter. The older you get you say, ‘Jesus, I’ve got 39 summers left. Think about it - 39 summers!’

Me, I try not to think about it too much.

Words: I Erving

Currently Ian, Simon and Mike can be seen performing in local covers band, The Beerpigs.
