Troy Wykle has entertainment running in his veins. Troy was born in July of 1972, in Gastonia North Carolina. At the age of 8 Troy was a Star Search hopeful where his love of music developed. Growing up Troy spent his time with his vocal coaches. At the age of 17 he was accepted to the Los Angeles School of the Arts. While living in Los Angeles he played with his Blues/Rock Band "Squeeze Bye." with hits such as: Renegade Son, Red, Lost, Alone Again and Plagued by Indecision. "Squeeze Bye" was the band that launched Troy to become who is today.
Troy’s passion for Country music brought him to Nashville in April of 2004 when he resigned his job as a Federal Screening Manager with the TSA in Los Angeles to follow his heart Troy, along with his wife and kids packed up and moved to Nashville. Shortly after arriving, Troy signed with an Indie Record Label, and went to work on his CD entitled "Drive IT Like IT's Stolen" which was engineered and produced by Frank Green with Gold, Platinum and Diamond records he has also engineered Garths first cut of "Friends in Low Places."
Troy is proud to be working alongside his band and brothers BlueSteele. Which include James Foglesong on Drums, Tommy Lowe Electric Guitar background vocals, Martin Prince Electric Guitar background vocals, and John Walter thumping the Bass.
Troy's other musical influences include his mother Sharon was ever supportive and nurtured his love of music from a young age His Jr. High Vocal Coach and the person responsible for giving him the tools to correctly use his talent Christine Vanderleest, Garth Brooks Lynard Skynard, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Ray Charles, Little Feat, Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Lionel Ritchie, Charlie Daniels, Hank Williams (Senior and Junior), Waylon Jennings, and George Strait, among many others.
Troy Wykle &BlueSteele were recently signed to the roster of Bluewater Production/Star Entertainment. Troy Wykle & BlueSteele are currently recording their new album which will be out later in 2010 and packed full of “High Energy”, “Foot Stompin’”, and “Tear Jerking” Southern Rock/Country tunes.
