triotonic has been successfully brushing up the classical trio instrumentation, with piano, bass and drums.The well-tried constellation of these instruments functions as the basis for the artists very personal and emotional music style. Their extraordinary compositions have turned triotonic into an integral part of the Austrian jazz scene in no time. With their compositions, which are loaded with lots of emotions, a fascinating mixture of European jazz and classical – romantic music - triotonic are among the most initiative renovators of the piano trio format.



triotonic see themselves as a real working band. The line-up – consisting of Volkhard Iglseder, Horst Sandy Sonntagbauer and Bernhard Wittgruber – has not changed since 1999.



Together they compose and arrange, they harmonize both on as well as off the stage. All these different aspects together are responsible for the exceptional charismatic sound of their music.



.The compositions are sensitive. A linking element between modern jazz and classical music – with lots of emotions. Music has to touch, has to affect, has to cause reactions.
