Colossians 1:15-19: " He is the image of the invisisble God, the firstborn over all creation. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Petrina(Trina Delk) Wilkins-Delk was born on October 15, 1973 to Pearlie and Joseph Wilkins. Her testimony is basically, "God Kept Me." She grew up in a good home and her parents were very strict. According to Trina, her fear of mom and dad is what kept her from making a lot of mistakes in her early life. Trina was raised up in Lutheran Church. Early in life, she learned to be a good person and stay out of trouble. However, she is living testimony that you can be good and go to church every Sunday but never experience the Lord. At an early age, she had to cope with many deaths including some of the people most dear to her like a close aunt and several uncles. The only thing that kept her through was poetry and writing which she began at a young age of eight. At age 13, Trina's mom, Pearlie was diagnosed with hodgeskin disease. This was rough for her, because mom has always been one of the greatest influences in her life. Also, she was the oldest of a brother and sister. She spent much time caring for them and helping dad in the house since her mom was sick, alot during Trina's teen years. However, her mom continued to be the best mom one could ask for. Trina's greatest memories of childhood were being with her mom and family. Although she was blessed with many good friends, they spent much time at her house. She was not an outgoing type of person. Much time was spent reading and writing in her room.
At age 27, Trina experienced Christ. The biggest influences in this was hubby and best friend Big Reese. The fact that her mom is still alive after all the years of being sick is enough to prove that God is real. Trina has been blessed with two biological children, lil ash and Markeese. After the birth of Markeese in 1998, Trina had to get an emergency hysterectomy, causing her to never have another child. However, in 1999 Trina and hubby Big Reese came in contact with her step-children, Crystal , Lance, and Maurice Jr. Since then, she took them in as her own and raised them in their teen years which has been definitely a challenge and powerful testimony, but they definitely has learned the word of God and now they are all adults and have to accept Christ. "I will continue to pray for them. I've taught them, where there's a will, theres a way,"says Trina. Much like Sarah, Trina didn't believe she could ever be blessed with another child, but she has dedicated her life to caring for her step grandchild Izaiah after his mom walked away from him while only a few months old. Hubby, Big Reese and Trina took legal custody of Izaiah and at age 2 he is the love of her life. "He is the child I thought I could never have, " says Trina. It has been a challenge but Trina sees the power of God move in every way of life. Trina looks forward to her spiritual growths and prophetic annointing coming out like never before. "He knew I was a prophet before my mother conceived me," says Trina. So, enjoy the poetry and the prophetic annointing of Mrs. Trina Delk who loves Jesus with all her heart, soul, and mind!
