Trig: A Rising Icon
Born in Richmond, Va., the gifted singer- songwriter Trig has begun to make his mark. 26 year old Otis Holmes was raised in Hopewell, Va. where he was driven to find his purpose on earth. After serving a few years in the military, Otis discovered his gift in music at the age of 19. As a child Otis sang in choirs at school and church, but this time it was different. After arranging creative thoughts and sounds that were in his head, and placing them strategically to inspiring music, he then realized that with one of the industry’s best vocal coaches , and an investor to see his vision, he will be a force to be reckoned with.
Otis spent years trying to perfect his craft, but feels financial limitations have hindered him from the next step. “I know what I am capable of, but it’s going to take money to get where I need to be. So until God gives me a financial blessing I’m going to keep, writing, singing, and performing. That’s what I’m good at”.
He has performed before some of the industry’s biggest artist, including Lil Wayne, Trey Songz, and Choppa of No Limit. He has also performed on numerous occasions for BET"s Comic View.
Currently collaborating with some of the best artist in Virginia, Trig has releases a number of mixtapes, and now working on his first independent album entitled “Fashionably Late”. With hit singles like “Back Back” and “Incredible” Trig is sure to leave the ladies wanting more.
Trig’s inspirations have been Dave Hollister, Usher, Raheem Devaughn, and the late, great Al Greene. His current goal is to land a development deal with one of the top record labels and management firms. He wants the ability to work with a vocal coach to improve his sound, and show that God placed him on this earth to be a great name in music history. “I’m humble, and driven. I watch new artist come out all the time, and the only difference between them and me is the opportunity”.
