Transgressor was founded early 2006 by Rinze Wouda.

The music is inspired by the work of the early Leatherstrip and the early :Wumpscut:.

With minimal equipment transgressor creates dark and sometimes even melancholic atmospheres carried by harsh beats and raw, distorted vocals.

The lyrics handle about the destructive nature of mankind and the personal suffering going with that.

In April 2006 transgressor released a demo called "Destination Death" containing 4 tracks.

In december 2006 Transgressor joined the sonic seducer battle of the bands and was, together with 49 other competers, selected out of hundreds other bands to appear on the Sonic Seducer sampler. In april 2007 we released a 5 track EP called Seelenschlacht , bringing more fresh meat from the battlefield.

in 2008 wil be the debut releas called "Battlefield Ethics' wat wil bring us more battlefieldelectro. Battlefieldelectro that will make the dead rise and shake their boney asses ;)

Reviews:

@ Gothtronic

Seelenschlacht:

"With a little experience this act might even grow above the masses of mediocre releases nowadays. Just wait and see what the future brings but definitely go see them live." - Erik

Destination Death:

"This 4 track demo is very nice and Transgressor is comparable with young colleagues such as XMH and Die Sektor regarding quality of production and impact" - TekNoir

@ Synthetic Dawn

Seelenschlacht:

"In the end, this demo fulfilled my high expectations with ease. The only thing I have some critics on is the production. The sound is a little flat overall the release, which nearly stops you to let it blast out of your speakers and/or eartrumpets. But, to keep in mind that it has been created with minimal equipment, it’s quite understandable. A well deserved score on this one, and I surely hope these tracks will appear on a future full-lenght with a good production, so I can scare the neighbours away." - Gerardo

@ Phoenix Rising E-Zine

Seelenschlacht:

"Not a bad band if you like industrial but I personally would like to see them do more with their dark, electro melodic side." - JJ

@ VampireFreaks
