Bringing a barrage of grunge & noise-rock no one has heard since the days of Hole & L7, Nashville's all-female foursome, The Trampskirts have plowed through the southern dive scene since 2005. Their debut full-length record, Barbwire Virginia (10/31/2008), released on Supernova Records, introduces the violently distorted guitars and lyrically thrash-charged aggression that continues to resonate from their material. As their live performances often leave fans blindsided by the surge of raw energy unleashed onstage, Trampskirts deliver a dynamically potent package every single show. Supernova founder and frontman of Today is the Day, Steve Austin, describes the experience, "I left the bar feeling like I was on drugs." With their rapidly spreading underground following as a testimony, Trampskirts are the contagious epidemic of twisted grunge that rock music has long anticipated.
