Toxique

In the beginning there was silence. And boredom.
Then 5 people decided it couldn't stay like that.
On January 1st 2007, they set off their last New Year's Eve fireworks, and decided that the time was right. They handed in their notices at work, changed addresses, stopped drinking and began practicing.
Over a cup of hot chocolate, they came up with a title.
TOXIQUE.
They were interested in everything new, different, extraordinary and polka-dotted. TOXIQUE were fascinated by evolution.
They decided they were going to fill the ether and, in spring 2008, they released their debut album and made the stage their new home.
They broke the curse on Czech bands, which had never created an international sound. They made the French clap ecstatically at the prestigious festival 'Europavox', made the bureaucrats of Brussels dance and the visitors to the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai, sing.
In the Czech Republic all hell broke lose. Hundreds of grandmas and grandpas suddenly were applying for English lessons, mothers and fathers filled their homes with TOXIQUE memorabilia and their children were running around the room aimlessly, wearing rah-rahs and carrying heart-shaped pillows under their arms.
The magical date of 9/9/2009 was marked by crowd madness. TOXIQUE, now weighed down by numerous awards in angel and other shapes, recorded their DVD, capturing their wild, primal show.
After their 'cosy room' era, defined by various pieces of furniture laying around the stage, there followed a short period of contemplation during which TOXIQUE prepared their second album under the supervision of the graphical practice Najbrt.
We are about to encounter a brand new sound, exciting design and a juicy show full of light effects involving a lantern parade, a childhood slideshow and further fireworks in the shape of shocking surprises.
However, one thing remains the same:
