Who is Toshiba? Toshiba is a rhythm & blues singer/songwriter from Sherwood, Arkansas. This southern girl with moxie is known for her sultry voice, provocative lyrics and electrifying performances. "I write songs from the heart drawing inspiration from all of my experiences in life - the good, the bad, the past and the present. As an artist I am inviting you to come in, sit on my sofa and get to know me." Honing her craft on the "open mic" circuit helped Toshiba develop a loyal fan base. The pivotal moment in Toshiba's journey as an artist occurred when she was eliminated during the auditions for American Idol and Star Search. "I was deeply disappointed, but not broken. I became inspired to take matters into my own hands - so I continued to sing and write until the disappointment turned into determination." In 2007 she released her debut album "Afterwords" which navigated the events that shape ones life before, and after love and relationships. Toshiba continues to perform at venues like " The Lifestyle Fashion Show" hosted by Eva Pigord and Furonda, along with opening up for acts like Calvin Richardson and Urban Mystic at the Heart to Heart Valentine Celebration. Since the release of her debut album Toshiba has grown as an artist and a songwriter - who shows no signs of slowing down. Toshiba writes or co-writes all of her material - the result is a collection of female anthems, club joints and emotionally vulnerable love songs.
