REUNION SHOW VIDEO PART 2



toru okada was a band that existed from 2003 - 2006. we are a group of friends that met in a garage one april afternoon and wrote a song called ".so he could hear his footsteps". that summer we wrote a few more and played our first show in june with our friends die emperor die. that september we recorded 3 songs and released a split with DED months later. in march of 2004 we recorded 5 songs that were released along with the 3 others on various cd-rs (those cd-rs are now known as 8 songs). that fall ali (lead guitar) left to move to california, he was replaced by our friend clark and that november we rerecorded most of the songs heard on 8 songs (except for fields burned golden and our great cities) which were released as an lp by shock value records (the only completely new song on the album was a song called lights out). in the winter of 2004 and summer of 2005 we toured the southeast region and met a band called olive tree. in 2006 (faiza, our friend samir and myself) released two new toru okada songs on a split 7" with olive tree. that summer the band went on a final tour and then decided to call it quits. a final show is still meant to happen, as well as an offical release of 8 songs + lights out + the split songs on cd.



this band represented a group of friends and a certain period in time. thanks to everyone who was and still is apart of it
