Torsectomy

Torsectomy Originated from the death of a band called Explosive Diarrhea back in 05' when the two founding members Ben Medina and Tom Meeks decided to start a more serious band. At that point they added two more members to fill out the band, Drew Grant and Daniel Coverubias.



After a few months Torsectomy then released their first four song demo entitled "Scoured and Devoured". The demo sold out quickly around Houston and surrounding areas and some how ended up selling out in Japan despite the fact that no one in the band had ever been to Japan let alone sent anything there.



With several members quitting the band for personal reasons, Torsectomy called it quits in mid 07'. Tom and Drew eventually worked together on new material for a different band, called Dissentient. Ex-Gaius members Justin Liles and Michael Autry were added to the lineup, both of which were previously in a band with Drew. After exhausting their efforts in finding a bass player, original Torsectomy guitarist Daniel joined to play bass.



Being that the current lineup of Dissentient was mostly members of Torsectomy, the band reformed as Torsectomy with a new lineup. An untitled demo was released via DIY methods (selling demo's at shows, out of a car, ect.) As of july 09' we had to part ways with guitarist michael autry (on good terms) and has replaced our friend with a new guitarist Alex Davis. and the band is currently looking to implode your face live sometime in the near future.
