Torrid Flesh formed in the fall of 2003 in the home basement of Denver natives Michael and Holly Brannan. With only a guitarist, singer, and an out dated drum machine they started digging into their influences of old school death metal bands such as Grave, Morgoth, Dismember, Carcass, and Immolation and came up with there own sound, vision, and formula of Death Metal.

Within a month they found a bass player and drummer and commenced on writing material for the first album “Torrid Flesh.” The album was very low budget but it sounded good for the effort at the time. The band played numerous local shows in support of it.

A year later they lost their drummer and bass player, but immediately they found replacements. Not but 4 months past and they recorded their second album called “Chain of Command,” which was recorded at Flatline audio with Dave Otero, where he brought the band up to a new sonic level and professionalism.

In support of the new album a small tour of Texas in December of 2006 was arranged and the band performed in Austin, San Antonio, and Houston. The band financed the tour themselves, rented a 15 passenger van, and stuffed all their equipment with them into the van and went to Texas. They didn’t expect to make much, but were motivated by getting the band known, having a little bit of fun, and gaining some touring experience.

Soon after, Torrid Flesh got back from Texas and three of the members quit for personal reasons, so it was down to Mike, Holly, and the drum machine once again. Mike and Holly decided to regroup and write new material. They found bass player Marcus Garcia, who didn’t have much experience in a band before but had a lot of talent, was able to write material, and seemed to be very responsible, so they decided to let him in the fold. Since then he has been an excellent member in all aspects within the band.

Chris Schafer, a talented and young guitarist, was referred to Mike and Holly by Marcus and was added into the fold. He has added a new guitar dimension to the band and has blossomed into a great writer. Chris is always expanding on his style and lead playing.

Then came the Drummer dilemma…and the search was on. Many came and went and it seemed the right guy was never going to surface, until Mike ran into veteran drummer Anthony Lopez at a Heaven and Hell concert. Anthony was known for being in Cymetrë, Eternal Internment, and now of Skapegoat. Mike told him they were searching for a new drummer. This sparked interest in Anthony and he asked to join the fold. Anthony has over thirty years experience playing drums and has been in numerous other bands. He is endorsed by ddrum and has been an impeccable addition to Torrid Flesh in many ways.

Mike has been a Denver veteran for over 25 years and has played in numerous bands throughout the years, and is an accomplished and unique song writer and guitarist with a truly original style. Same goes for Holly who has only known being in Torrid Flesh and no other band. She loves fronting the band and loves what she brings to band: killer demon-like death Metal vocals. It has been said numerous times that Holly is the best North American Death Metal female vocalist.

Now with the completion of the new album “Ravaged Lands,” which once again was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Dave Otero, the band have been doing an extensive local round about, with plans to do another mini US tour and more. The band is tighter, heavier, and more lethal than ever before. Mike and Holly’s dream Death Metal band is finally coming of age. Now with more aggressive and progressive riffs and song writing, the band is already writing new material for the next opus to come out in 2009. Plans of a live DVD/CD are also in the mix. Now that the band has Kelton Coppinger and Fractile Management and Promotions to help them on their quest, nothing is impossible. They are current being played on KMSA 91.3, Grand Junction, CO, by DJ Frank ‘The Morbid One’ Menapace, and also on WCNI 90.9FM, Connecticut, by Bob ‘The Godfather’ Howard. And they have appeared in Metal Maniacs Magazine and Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles (BWBK). They have also been reviewed by Grins From Below and E-Metal. march 2009 we got a new drummer his names matt benson (cryogen's old drummer), and a new guitarist Pedro Ramirez (devine intervention)
