Antonio Hasbun (born November 25, 1981) better known as Tony Hasbun is the CEO of the Cooperativa Empresarial Lo Correcto and the Tony Hasbun Company. He has worked in the music business as a producer, talent manager and now creator of his clothing line. He has been involved in the careers of a various underground and Latin Hip Hop artists and performers throughout this his career.
Tony born in the Dominican Republic grew up back and fourth between Brooklyn, NY and D.R. Tony started his career in 1997 in a recording studio in Santo Domingo, DR. Along side, Nucleo Salomon in 2000 they formed "Lo Correcto" the first Hip Hop company in Dominican Republic producing original members: Junta de Vecinos (Facundo & Prometeo), Experiencia (Basico & Ovni), Crudos (Beethoven Villaman & Hitler Faraon), La Facultad (Crooklyn & Jaidro), Sin Fin, Dj Scuff & Dj Avana. In 2001 they released their first CD, titled "4 Ejemplos" with Junta de Vecinos" one of his numerous productions. As of 2011, they have produced more than 500 songs.
The CD mixtape "Too Hot" in 2007 featured Latin Hip Hop's international underground top rappers of the time; Lo Correcto (DR), Barbara La Guerrera (USA-PR), Gangsta Familia (Chile), Superanfor (Colombia), Lo Malo Corita (USA), MDE Clik (España), Natural Style (Brazil) recognizing Tony for his production talents, which had been well showcased. Among other artists which Tony has collaborated with are; Cilvaringz (Wutang Killa Bees), Salah Edin, Lapiz Conciente, Vakero, Tony Almont, Toxic Crow, Villano Sam, Sujeto, Poeta Callejero and numerous others.
A few of Tony's accomplishments are, producing Santo Domingo's popular Hip Hop radio show "Poder Hip Hop" on Power 103.7 with hosts Milly and Ovni and Dj's Scuff & Avana. He's produced jingles, commercials and street marketing campaigns for ad agencies, various media's and corporate clients like; Orange, Plaza Lama, Coca Cola, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Banco del Progreso, Claro and Super Canal 33 to name a few. In 2008 he produced a Hip Hop documentary
"Lo Correcto El Documetal" about the influences of Hip Hop on the Dominican Republic's youth and culture in collaboration with Prensa Civil Quisqueyana, Juan Carlos Espinal and Lo Correcto.
Tony also, has promoted and produced some of the most recognized Hip Hop concerts and events in the Dominican Republic such as; "Reggaeton Festival" at Palacio de los Deportes in 2003, "Lo Correcto Live" at Centro Cultural de España in 2004, "Wonder Tour Ja Rule" at Estadio Quisquella in 2005, "Yala Festival" at Club San Carlos and "Raekwon" at Plaza Marina in 2006, "Ciudadano 0" at Teatro Nacional, "Lo Correcto Universal" at Teatro La Fiesta Hotel Jaragua in 2008 and "Lo Correcto Unplugged" at Hard Rock Café in 2009.
He has been interviewed by Listin Diario, Diario Libre, Periodico Hoy, El Nacional, Hip Hop Nations Magazine Europa, Dominican Hop, Noche de Luz, Jatna Tavarez, Chevere Nights, Hoy Mismo , Expresion Urbana TV (Mexico) and various other newpapers, TV and radio shows.
After opened his recording studio La Cueva Studio in 2007 in Santo Domingo he began recording artists from other genres such as Baladista, Anthony Rios and producing new talent. A cameo appearance in Dj Freddy Rey's, El Pasaporte DVD assisted Tony in making ties with other well known underground NY artists.
