ABOUT TOM SALTA

Award-winning composer Tom Salta creates dramatic original music in a variety of genres for film, television, advertising and video games. Prior to his composing career, Salta toured with and worked on releases by a diverse and extensive array of popular artists such as Peter Gabriel, Junior Vasquez, Everything But The Girl, Deep Forest, Mary J. Blige and Sinead O’Connor. Combining his expertise in programming and mixing hit records with the highest production values, Salta’s most currently recognized projects include the contemporary and traditional Japanese musical score for Red Steel, Ubisoft’s exclusive first-person action title for the Nintendo Wii, which won IGN’s Award for Best Original Score, and his live orchestral score for the top selling Xbox 360 video game Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter (GRAW) which was nominated for Best Original Video Game Score at the MTV Video Music Awards.



As comfortable with live orchestration and percussion as he is with synthesizers, computers, and the latest software, Salta’s latest project release is the exhilarating music score for H.A.W.X, the first air-combat game set in the world-renowned Tom Clancy’s video game universe. To emphasize the game’s cutting-edge technology, devastating firepower, and intense dogfights, Salta composed an adrenalized and emotionally-charged live orchestral / electronic hybrid score recorded at Legacy Studios in New York with A-List musicians from the New York Philharmonic and Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.
