Bio & Discography
Sascha Dikiciyan is one of the most sought-after composers/producers in the industry today. With a reverence for precision beats that exemplifies his European upbringing, and innovative electronic sounds that reflect the years spent in the underground scene in Los Angeles, Sascha Dikiciyan creates a voice that is uniquely his own. The demand for his tracks comes from all media forms, but none more so than video games, the last frontier for musical exploration and innovation.
Growing up in Berlin, Sascha was thoroughly trained in classical music styles, while also being a student of German underground movement. He moved to Los Angeles in 1993 to expand his education in composing, film scoring, and the recording arts. Sascha quickly caught the eye of id software, which recruited him to compose original music for the award-winning Quake 2 video game in 1997. Sonic Mayhem was born and he soon became one of the leading progressive voices in game music, scoring titles like James Bond: Tomorrow Never Dies and Quake III Arena.
In 2005, Sascha teamed up with the award-winning composer Cris Velasco, and the pair quickly became known for their ground-breaking hybrid style, combining orchestral scores with electronic/industrial beats. Together, they have formed the most critically acclaimed and successful partnerships in the game industry, collaborating on more than a dozen game titles including Prototype, Borderlands, Sony’s MAG, GI Joe, Mortal Kombat vs. D.C. Universe, Dark Messiah, Splinter Cell 4, Beowulf, Haze, and Hellgate: London.
Constantly striving to push the limits of creative expression, creating the successful Sample cd brand “Noize Loops” and providing Musical sound sesign for companies like Native Instruments, Sascha produces tracks under the pseudonym “Toksin,” and is considered to be one of the top producer/remixing artists. He won BPM Magazine’s Remix contest with his original re-production of BT’s anthem, “Communicate” and his original track “Digital Divine” was featured on the Nubreed’s release of the famous “Y4K” series. 2010 will finally see the release of Toksin’s long-awaited EP “Singularity”, created to break the barriers between Rock, Breakbeat, and Drum ’n’ Bass.
Sascha currently resides in the Los Angeles area, and is represented by Four Bars Intertainment.
