T’LEEVZ – Rap artist hailing from Norwich representing the UK and Nigeria



He has opened for acts such as Chipmunk, Sway, Tinie Tempah, Skepta, Ghetto, Bashy, Wretch 32, Devlin + more



It all started for T’Leevz in 2005 when garage was at its peak, before Grime existed as a genre. T’Leevz would write bars and recite them in the bedroom making tapes and performing on the mic in garage raves whenever there was a chance.

From there he ran an internet radio station on Sundays, around the same time Grime was recognised.

T’Leevz was introduced to a local studio in Norwich where he started to make tracks by dubbing well known beats. After a few studio sessions he laced 23 tracks and in 2007 made his 1st mixtape Light in the Dark Vol.1.



Light in the Dark vol.1 was the 1st mixtape from T’Leevz which blew up in Norwich and proved that grime music wasn’t just big in London and big cities. With the 1200 physical units and 300 downloads, floating about the city and surrounding areas it opened up a door and gave other artists in Norwich a drive to release mixtapes of their own.



Its now 2008 and T’Leevz is still going strong after the release of his mush loved single “Light in the Dark”. This was played on BBC’s Radio Norfolk, and then from that straight onto Huw Stephens BBC Radio 1 introducing show, and was added to the introducing advert.



Light in the Dark Vol.2 was soon to come dropping summer 08. The new mixtape was more Hip Hop than Grime and is a joint collaboration with the UK battle rap champion Arkaic. The mixtape was packed with hard hitting lyrics, clever punch lines, combined with catchy hooks and hot flows and hosted by BBC’s DJ Limelight.



Just after the birth of his son in Feb 09 T’Leevz released the Wiggle ‘n’ Wind single which also featured the song Life’s A Grind under the label Risky Bizniz Entertainment.



Things are still going well and the official T’Leevz EP was in the making. Solely produced by Detrimental Productions it was the best work to date that T’Leevz had made so far. With features from Darren B and chart climbing Professor Green the EP was looking very promising to set a mark for Norwich in the UK scene, and then….



Unfortunately late 2009 just before Christmas, T’Leevz was diagnosed with cancer – Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. After radiotherapy treatment in early 2010 the cancer was removed and T’Leevz’ health was back to normal.



Its 2010 and T’Leevz is back in the zone and set to release his new mixtape entitled “The Beat Jacker” late summer followed by the newly made and polished EP.
