Tiny Tin Lady have been together since 2004 and, in six years, have become one of the most talked about bands on the acoustic scene, stunning audiences everywhere with their blend of brilliant, original songs, superb musicianship and spine-tingling harmonies. Defying categorisation, constantly evolving and progressing; this dynamic band are always taking their audience in new directions.

Bandleader, Danni Gibbins, has drawn praise from such great songwriters as Ralph McTell and Richard Thomson, and is being tipped to become a major songwriter. Danni’s guitar work is brilliant, a percussive and complex style reminiscent of Davy Graham or Bert Jansch, driving and exciting in its’ intensity. With a warm, spellbinding, expressive voice, audiences find themselves drawn into a private world of acoustic intimacy.

Beth Gibbins is 18 and the possessor of a voice of awesome technique, power and passion. The sheer emotive power of this astonishing young girl’s voice can move audiences to spontaneous outpourings of applause mid-song. When she sang Sandy Denny’s “Who knows where the time goes” with Fairport Convention on their 40th Anniversary tour, she received ovations everywhere and Fairport described her as “Simply incredible, an amazing voice”. Beth plays guitar, and is now moving into the field of song writing alongside Danni, with an impressive maturity shown in songs such as “Green and Brown and Grey”.

Helen Holmes plays a funky, jazzy, reggae inspired bass, providing a solid ground for the others to build on. Her technique has drawn admiring comments from such four-string maestros as Fairport’s Dave Pegg and Jah Wobble. Considered one of the best female bassists in the country- she can shake and groove with the best.

Tiny Tin Lady’s line up is completed by the more recent additions of Sally, Barbara and Aimee. In 2008 Tiny Tin Lady recruited the able hands of Sally Street; playing Keys and Clarinet. Sally is classically trained and fills out the band’s sound in a subtle yet essential way. Giving the band mystery, humour, and brass sounds is the multi-talented Barbara. He plays a variety of instruments, also performing for the St Helen’s Youth Brass Band. Tiny Tin Lady are taking exciting new direction with drummer Aimee Smith, coming from Swansea. The newest band member, at only 18 years of age, she already has 6 years drumming experience. Though you wouldn't believe it from her innocent sweet as pie appearance, her background is as a hardcore Metal drummer, that's right!

Tiny Tin Lady have performed at over 30 festivals in five years including Glastonbury, Cropredy, Wickerman, Big Session, Beautiful Days, Bedford Rhythm Festival and The Acoustic Festival of Great Britain.

They toured with Fairport Convention in 2007 and have also toured with Jah Wobble, Midge Ure and The Dylan Project. Their debut album, “The Sound of Requiem” received great reviews with Mojo calling it “A triumph for talent over fake X-factor garbage” and The Daily Telegraph predicting “A bright, rosy, future”.

“Tiny Tin Lady are a unique blend of roots honesty and rock sensibilities not to be missed”. – MOJO

“Full of talent, charm and chutzpah, they’re a joy to hear and to be with.” - Fairport Convention.
