Time of Orchids was active from 1999-2007 and released five albums: 2001's Melonwhisper, 2003's Much Too Much Fun (with Kate Pierson), 2004's Early As Seen in Pace (Epicene), 2005's Sarcast While (with Julee Cruise, Tzadik) and 2007's Namesake Caution (Cuneiform). The band recorded a lot of additional material which never made its way onto a release, until now. In Due Time is a collection of previously unheard tracks, spanning ToO's career, from its oddball goth-pop beginnings to its dry, sprawling final sound. The album features members Chuck Stern, Jesse Krakow, Eric Fitzgerald, Dave Bodie, Keith Abrams and Charlie Looker. It concludes with a series of remixes (many by Wendell Edwards, who also mastered the album). You can purchase In Due Time here, as well as on Amazon, emusic, CD Baby, etc. All other CDs are on those sites, as well, and available for sale directly through us, except 'Sarcast While', which you can get here or here. We also have T-shirts for sale, available in sizes S, M, L, XL and XXL (colors black, blue and red). Our Paypal is: timeoforchids@hotmail.com. All items are $12, plus $2 shipping. As for current projects, keyboardist/vocalist Chuck Stern is now working solo under the name Stern. Drummer Dave Bodie has been working with Bill Brovold and Kayo Dot. He and guitarist/vocalist Eric Fitzgerald have a new project with original ToO drummer Keith Abrams. Bassist Jesse Krakow continues to work with Craig Wedren on his feature film/soundtrack "WAND," in addition to playing a few shows in the recently reunited Shudder To Think. He has just released his second solo album, "World Without Nachos," and will be doing a series of solo shows in support of it. He has recently recorded the second Fast 'n Bulbous: The Captain Beefheart Project album, to be released on Cuneiform Records, and will be touring to promote it. He has also been developing a project with vocalist Julee Cruise, along with Jamie Saft and Clifton Hyde, featuring his original compositions, and recently joined singer/songwriter Amy Miles' band. Jesse is writing his musical memoirs under the speculative title, "Rockboy," which he hopes to have completed later this year.Footage of the last ToO show (November 24th, 2007 at The Stone) can be seen here.
