MC Tigz (Y.Skitz)

I'm MC Tigz Also Known As "Duppy Face Tigz" & Previously Known As MC Tigzman. I Started Writing Lyrics Seriously in 2008 (Or Late 2007). I Used 2 Write Lyrics For Radio Sets Etc. As I Used To Listen To Radio Stations Like Heat FM, On Top FM & Raw UK, Loads Of Different Sets With People Like Kano, Wiley & Ghetto Which Inspired Me At The Time. I Never Wrote Lyrics About Anything Or With Any Sort Of Concept Just The Normal 'Hype' Bars. It All Started When I Used The Name "Y.Skitz" As My Musical Title. I Started Out MC'in Alone Never Really Had A Collective Or Movement But Shortly After I Moved To Lewisham (South East London) From Another Area I Started Collaborating Closesly With "Cupes" My 1st Top Friend Who Was Formerly Known As Cupidbeats/Cupid. I Made A Variety Of Freestyles And Posted Them On My Myspace Page & Was Keen On Receieving Feedback So I Could Improve.



In Approximately Sep/Oct Of 2008 I Bought My Own Studio. I Then Began To Test Out Different Recording Methods On Nuendo/Cubase. I Then Used To Make Songs At Home Rather Than Travelling. After A Few Months I Began To Get 2 Grips With How To Mix Down My Material Etc. With Help From "Tweetz" (Another Artist At The Time Now Known As "DJ Youngun Twist") After Doing This I Became More Comfortable With Making My Own Songs. After This Period I Started Regularly Distributing My Own Songs Via MSN & Myspace And I Got Mainly Good Feedback & Created A Buzz Around My Name.



I Started Going To Various Youth Clubs Like Baseline, Street Vibes & Brixton Arts Club And Practiced MC'ing. At All Of The Youth Clubs I Met Different Artists. At Street Vibes Was Where I Met DJ DLK Who Invited Me To Various Different Sets (React FM, Danny C, Urban FM) Where I Did Some Sets And My Name Began To Go Around Even More. During This Time Was When I Dropped The "Y.Skitz" Title For Music And Began To Use "MC Tigz" As It Sounded More Proffesional And Less Road Associated. From Then I Have Continued Making Songs But I've Stopped Restricting Myself To Just Grime & Started Making Rap/Hip Hop/Funky House Etc.
