Tierra

The group Tierra got its start in the summer of 2002, as they began playing together at a local church in Holland, MI. They had found a sound all their own. Almost all the songs they learned were originals, written by Daniel Niño (lead vocals & acoustic guitar). Israel Ruiz (bass guitar) has been with the band since it started. Marcel Arocha (electric guitar) joined the band in 2005. Other members include: Raul Garcia (drums), Brian Peerbolt (keys), Mark Weymuth (drums), Israel Gracia (percussion)



In the Summer of 2006 Tierra traveled to Ecuador, South America for a 2-week tour. This was where they released their self-titled EP. In August of 2007 Tierra released there long awaited self titled album. Which has 14 original tracks. Their popularity has been growing quickly, especially now in the Chicago area, and more opportunities to travel to Latin America are securing this bands future. Local shows are always favorites for the band.
