Three Minute Madness

Three Minute Madness in its present lineup saw light of day in early 2006. This is no teen-sensation but a band consisting of members with lots of routine and an ambition of making hard-hitting, honest rock music!



Gerhard was recruited from the brilliant rock band Breather. Henrik and Stefan has been playing together in various constellations since the mid 90’s, the most successful one is Jupither. Stefan has also been touring with the hardcore/metal act Purusam. Their gifted singer Fredrik was recruited from a cover band and Peter has a history in various metal acts. (Those who had a chance to see Crenshaw won't forget it in a while!)



Later in 2006, Three Minute Madness was one of the first unsigned band ever to play at Sweden Rock Festival. But 3MM didn't stay unsigned for very long. By the end of 2006 they were contracted to Mondo Nuevo Records and started planning for their debut album. The recordings of “Disgraceful” started in the summer of 2007 but the timing was not right and the album was postponed. The band took a break and focused on other projects for a while.
By the fall of 2008 3MM got back in the studio, and together with the upcoming producer Fred Really they completed the album. What started with over 20 songs at a demo stage was later cut down to a 11 song strong rock album you now know as “Disgraceful”!



Three Minute Madness music is often said to bear references of the grunge-era when bands like Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots and Alice In Chains were popular. Unlike many other “post-grunge” acts 3MM has not fallen for the crossover temptation that has plagued rock music for so many years. It will be a cold day in hell before you'll hear turntables and synthesizers in 3MM:s music.
Even though the typical 3MM song is a highly energetic one (take Masterplan for example), the main songwriter Henrik Andersson doesn't shy away from composing an occasional rock ballad (eg. Open eyes), nor does he shy away from showing the world how a guitar solo should be played! (eg. Lovers guide)
