Thomas Tha Franchise began rapping when he was about 10. He would do talent shows and things until at the age of 14 he began writing his own lyrics. He found that what he was rapping about made sense and was often better then the older people around him or what he would hear on the radio. He then began to enter local rap battles to establish credibility and get his name known. Battle rap soon gave him the name Thomas Tha Franchise A.K.A Tha Young Hype! It also made his rhymes and metaphors very clever and thats what originated his style. No longer a battle Emcee he still encompasses those skills in his rhymes today. Now 20 he writes songs people can relate to but at the same time really feel in the club or on the radio. When you listen to his lyrics fans can really envision what hes saying and often the metaphors and punch lines are among the elite. He has made it a strong point in his music to let listeners know, that he proudly hails from Colorado and is a first in mainstream play to mention it in his top single "2 Step". Thomas Tha Franchise is currently finishing his debute album scheduled for release at the end of this year.
