The new moniker "Tribe Of One" represents the renewal of the solo relationship between Cino and his gear.

Cino fuels his audience with his lyrical drive-bys of socially conscious rhymes, and a production quality that has led some to tag him "The Audio-alchemist".

His live collaborations have also made him a favorite at festivals.

Whether its providing beatboxing for Nunavet throat-singer Tanya Taguaq-Gillis or rolling beats behind Tibetan throat singers, Cino adds his own flavour and energy and helps create what is often a unique and mind-blowing performance.

The interaction between sonic purveyor and audience holds special significance for Cino. In his point of view it is the audience that make up the Tribe in Third Eye Tribe.

"It is not so much that the band is the tribe, its more a tribal kinship I have with the audience"

Delicious dub n bass, irresistible beats, tactile techno, whatever you call it, the dreadlocked alchemist is making music for real humans, instead of an army of fashionable robots.

Bring your heart and your mind, and be prepared for the tribal revolution.

Jacob Cino - founder of the Third Eye Tribe, a sonic collision where infectious beats, heavy basslines and smooth vocal stylings meet.

Tearing pages from the books of Massive Attack, Mad Professor, and Roots Manuva, Cino creates a brand new book, using his own unique language and musical blueprint.

The project, born as a vehicle for Cino to perform his original compositions, evolved into a collaborative effort including producer Mazeguider aka Da Tripmaster, hip hop MC Ndidi Cascade, dancelhall artist Bounty Hunter and master violinist Kytami.

The multi-talented artist also spins as DJ Jacob Cino. He masterfully fuses new school breaks, deep techno, hip-hop, jungle, and dancehall, while intermitently seducing the crowd with his silky vocals.

His original music is almost always mixed into his sets, and enables Cino to be considered one of the few true multi-genre DJs on the West Coast.

His collaborations with a diverse array of artists represents both the sonic breadth of Cinos skills and his ability to speak different musical languages.

He has co-written tracks with Kinnie Starr and Kevin Key (Skinny Puppy), has performed on records by King Kobb Steelie and Kinnie Starr, and has remixed tracks for numerous artists, including Bounty Hunta & The Mutineers (turning dancehall into jungle) and Che:Chapter 127 (turning hardcore into fierce drum n bass).

Cinos own music is best represented through his powerful live sets. From illegal-parties in San Francisco and Los Angeles, to Folk Festivals in Vancouver and Whitehorse, from abandoned mansions in Belgium to pristine nightclubs in Norway, Cino has fulfilled his own prophecy of taking his music to the people.
