Mojo Magazine recently presented the original line-up Zombies with Classic Album Award for Odessey & Oracle.Gruff Rhys of the Super Furry Animals handed over the award and said later of The Zombies' Odessey and Oracle, "It's been an influence on all my work".
.
Speaking after the event Rod Argent said: "I'm thrilled that we've received this award. It's so gratifying that 42 years after we made the album it should still seem so relevant to so many contemporary artists. Just at the ceremony, Paul Weller commented that Odessey & Oracle was his favourite album, and the Fleet Foxes said to us how inspirational they had found it."
Chris White added: "It was a pleasure to receive the Classic Album award; to have recognised the importance of an album we created so long ago, one that still affects and inspires young musicians today and has the respect of so many of our peers."

"Chris White is the man" says Fleet Foxes' Robin Peckold spotting The Zombies bassist. "His bass lines – wow! He came backstage at The Roundhouse to see us. What an honour"
