Trying to live up to the standards set by the good old days of sheffield music, its been a major uphill struggle for this group of shambolic shamsters. they have overcome your wet noise free nextdoor neighbours, horrible playground beatings and the taunts of wicked schoolgirls.they're laughable, they're live, they're legless.ladies and gentlemeni give you THE YELL!

The Yell just don't work as a group aesthetically or musically. The 6 members look like they were forged together at a jumble sale, such is their detachment and lack of plausible relationship to each other. The vocalist appears to be an odd fellow too. Small, big hair with Jarvis Cocker mannerisms but not an inch of the class to deliver the style convincingly. Very poor overall. [4/10]
