The Woods

The Woods is a four-piece band from Texas that has generated a considerable amount of buzz in the Texas Music scene over the past several years. They established themselves in 2002 as The Woods, but have been playing together for several years. Jeremy Todd (Lead Singer) from Houston, Texas, comes from a diverse musical background which includes: the blues, alternative and country all mixed into one, which the band refers to as "ya'llternative". Jeremy's voice is unlike any other singer you've heard before and one that you will never forget. Justin Moore, a.k.a. "the hippy", (Lead Guitar, Harmony Vocals) comes from Honey Island, Texas, where he grew up playing gospel music. He's a very original picker with a soul sound you have got to see to believe. Chris Campbell (Bass) currently resides in College Station, Texas. His influences are derived from a wide variety of styles such as classic-country, blues, all the way to 90's rock. Derek Watkins, (Drums) hometown is Columbus, Texas, but presently lives in College Station, Texas. The fact that he combines his rock background with some good ole country sounds helps make The Woods a full package. The band's sound is as diverse as their members' backgrounds and encompasses all musical genres in an authentic way that should be known solely as some damn good music.
