1 Begin with one crappy guitarist/vocalist.



2 Find drummer



3 Find unusually talented bass player that, despite a love of metal, wants to play for a crappy punk band



4 Lose a drummer and find a new one



5 Suck despite having a good drummer and good bass player



6 Add a guitar player that was good but too busy to play as much as we did. so he quits



7 Have drummer quit to join another crappy band



8 Get another drummer and a new guitar/sax/trumpet player



9 Get drummer to hate us so much he decides he'd rather live a nomad lifestyle on a boat than play for us.



10 Get new drummer that knows so much random shit about musical instruments it's fucking insane



11 Get guitar/sax/trumpet player to move in with a girl and never see him again.



12 Rock the fuck out!
